JaneVision Photography by Rachael Jane
Rachael Jane has been working as a professional photographer in Kansas City and world wide since 2004 and has had a passion for it nearly all of her life. Formally educated and trained in the fields of Psychology and Pre-PhotoJournalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, she uses her knowledge to understand people through the camera. She has attended numerous training workshops to develop her technical skills including the Missouri Photo Workshop sponsored by MU. Working in a documentary style, she splits her time working for commercial clients and nonprofits. She has served on the board of American Society of Media Photographers since 2014 in multiple positions including chapter president of ASMP Kansas City Mid-America.
The core of her work stands to promote dialogue, awareness and understanding between differing communities of people.
In all of her work, She aims to celebrate the human spirit.
Her vision is that every person whether it be her neighbor or an ambassador to a foreign country, that they have a unique and fascinating story within themselves. She captures this feeling with deep respect and honesty to endure the ever changing world.
Her work has been published in The Guardian UK, Present Magazine, KC Magazine, and exhibited in The United States Embassy in Portugal, The United Nations in NYC as well as many other places in Kansas City and around the world.
